CAD/CAM Programmer

The CAD/CAM Programmer is part of the Drawing and Programming team. The Programmer will work with the drawing, programming and cutting departments to ensure machines are programmed correctly and effectively to ensure optimisation of materials and machinery.

Main Duties:
• Create cutting lists for Plasma, Laser and CNC Drill Machines
• Programme cutting lists for Plasma, Laser and CNC Drill Machines
• Input drawings on Lantek software to enable machines to read drawings
• Ensure customer requirements are met
• Minimise waste of materials and resources
• Maintain administrative functions associated with the various drawings

Minimum requirements of CAD Technician:
• Advanced CAD/CAM or AutoCAD qualification
• Experience in programming machinery, preferably Laser, Plasma of CNC Drill machines
• Previous experience in reading and interpreting drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent Excel skills
• Fluency in the English language
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to multi-task
• Flexibility to move between projects

The machines referred to above are those in use at the time of drafting this job specification. The CAD/CAM Programmer will be required to work with and additional machinery which may be acquired by the Company.

The CAD/CAM Programmer role requires a minimum of 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This may include shift work. A reasonable level of overtime including Saturdays may be required to ensure the fulfilment of the requirements of this role.

MIG Welder

The MIG Welder will work as part of the production team of Metal Fabricators and Welders and is integral to overall production operations.

Main duties:
• MIG welding to ensure precise, seamless joints
• Complete welding tests as deemed necessary by production management
• Ensure work is completed to the high standard required
• Work to timelines set by production management
• Adhere to all health and safety standards set for the role of Welder
• Maintain PPE compliance
• Maintain a clean and organised work station
• Ongoing quality control checking of own work
• Take part in any training required for the fulfillment of the role
• Ensure all works are being carried out in line with company and client requirements

Minimum requirements of the MIG Welder:
• Three years MIG welding experience
• Successful completion of MIG welding tests
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Team player
• Flexibility to move between projects

This role requires a minimum of 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday across two shifts. A reasonable level of overtime may be required at morning, evening or weekend time to ensure the fulfilment of the requirements of this role. The successful candidate will be required to remain available for two-cycle shift work.

Housekeeping Operative

The Housekeeping Operative is part the team who look after the upkeep of the O’Carroll Engineering facilities.

Main duties:
• Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
• Work in an organised manner ensuring all areas are cleaned on a regular basis
• Ensure that all bins and cigarette holders are emptied into the proper bins on a regular basis
• Sweep all floors to remove dust, dirt etc. that will built up during normal operation of the factory
• Ensure that the boilers in the canteens are full and switched on at ahead of break times
• Ensure that recycling bins are filled and prepared for collection by the recycling company on the relevant days
• Be able to address out of schedule matters as they arise, e.g tend to unforeseen spillages / incidents
• Monitor the main waste skip and advise stores personnel when it needs to be exchanged
• Ensure that all thoroughfares are kept clean and tidy and free from all obstructions at all times
• Be able to liaise with colleagues in production and maintenance departments
• Action any outcomes of housekeeping audits
• Attend meetings as required
• Take part in any training required for the fulfilment of the role
• Further the Lean Process, partake in Lean initiatives and ensure Lean principles are followed
• General ‘ad hoc’ duties as required and directed by production and facilities management

Minimum requirements of the Housekeeping Operative:
• Housekeeping or related work experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player
• Proven ability to multi-task
• Flexibility to move between projects

This role requires a minimum of 39 hours per week. A reasonable level of overtime may be required at morning, evening or weekend time to ensure the fulfilment of the requirements of this role.

Metal Fabricator

Main Duties:
• Read and interpret technical drawings to produce steel components
• Take measurements to ensure accuracy
• Cutting steel as required
• Use welder to tack components
• Ensure components are as per the specification required
• Work from jigs as required
• Operate power and hand tools to complete jobs
• Run machines as required to complete jobs
• Maintain all health and safety standards at all times

Minimum requirements of the Metal Fabricator:
• Experience in the fabrication of metal components from technical drawings
• Working knowledge of steel
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Team player
• Proven ability to multi-task
• Flexibility to move between projects

This role requires a minimum of 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday across two shifts. A reasonable level of overtime may be required at morning, evening or weekend time to ensure the fulfilment of the requirements of this role.
